Texas Coastal Coalition Supports Lease Agreement for Offshore Terminal

PORT ARANSAS – The Texas Coastal Coalition (TCC), an education and advocacy organization, issued the following statement in support of the Bluewater Texas Terminal as the commonsense alternative to a crude oil export terminal on Harbor Island in Port Aransas:

“An offshore terminal is a commonsense alternative to a massive oil export terminal on Harbor Island and would represent a win-win-win for industry, our fisheries and our tourism economy. Expanding export capacity with an offshore terminal avoids the risks associated with a terminal in Port Aransas and is the right choice for our community and our economy. The lease agreement between the port and Bluewater Texas represents an important step in the right direction.”
